5 Munich start-ups driving the energy revolution

These five Munich-based start-ups are developing solutions to accelerate the energy revolution in Germany and around the world.

Stabl Energy — Stabl Energy is developing technology that makes battery storage more efficient, safer and cheaper. To accomplish this, the Munich-based company divides high-voltage battery packs into many smaller modules. These are then dynamically interconnected using technology developed in-house. This concept is designed to protect against outages, improve safety and save energy. Both new and discarded batteries, such as those from electric cars, can be used with the Stabl technology. This gives used batteries a second lease of life as stationary storage devices. (Photo: Stabl Energy)
