Five Success Stories From UnternehmerTUM

One of Munich’s most successful entrepreneurship centers is UnternehmerTUM. We would like to present five Munich startups that not only have success in common, but also links to UnternehmerTUM.

Navvis
With roughly 200 employees, Navvis develops and markets hardware and software for mapping interior spaces. Mobile laser scanners are used to collect data that the startup then uses to create digital twins of the scanned rooms. They are employed most particularly for monitoring and documenting construction projects and also for production and factory planning. The startup’s customers include BMW, Daimler, Allianz, Audi and Skoda. The Navvis founders received different kinds of support from UnternehmerTUM and TUM: In addition to startup support and the provision of office space, the first prototypes for their Indoor Mobile Mapping System (IMMS) were developed in collaboration with the Chair of Industrial Design.
