One of Munich’s most successful entrepreneurship centers is UnternehmerTUM. We would like to present five Munich startups that not only have success in common, but also links to UnternehmerTUM.

Isar Aerospace — UVC Partners also invested in Isar Aerospace. Links with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) go even further: Isar Aerospace was founded as a spin-off of a rocket technology initiative of TUM students in 2018. Since then, the Munich aerospace company has focused on building small launch vehicles that can transport small satellites. The production of Spectrum, the two-stage launcher by Isar Aerospace, is moving forward according to plan: The Munich company has already successfully built its own vertical, integrated production plant and is now working on successfully completing important tests. As soon as these milestones have been reached, the company sees nothing stopping their first test flight in late 2022. In order to fund their endeavor, the Munich company has already raised 171 million euros. (Photo: Isar Aerospace)
