There a quite a few unicorns frolicking about in the Munich startup scene these days, companies that have a valuation of more than one billion dollars. Munich is also home to Germany’s first ‘decacorn.’

Celonis
Celonis: No longer a unicorn, Celonis is now a ‘decacorn.’ With a Series D funding round amounting to more than 800 million euros in June 2021, the process-mining company was able to break the ten-billion valuation mark and leave its unicorn days behind. That not only makes Celonis the most valuable startup in Munich, but also the first ‘decacorn’ in Germany. (Photo: Celonis)
